Walter Sparrow
English actor (1927-2000)

Walter Leonard Sparrow (1927–2000) was an English actor known for his roles in both film and television. Born in Eltham, London, Sparrow began as a stand-up comic before joining the Royal Shakespeare Company. His film debut was in Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1964) with Christopher Lee. He gained recognition for roles in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves as Duncan, The Secret Garden, and Now and Then. Sparrow appeared on TV shows like Only Fools and Horses and Emmerdale Farm. Notably, he played Maurice in the 1998 film Ever After, and his final role was in the BBC series Doctors.
