It is one of the cathedrals of the Dnipropetrovsk Diocese (previously Katerynoslav) of the <a href="/facts/Ukrainian_Orthodox_Church_(Moscow_Patriarchate)/lCwbCVBm">Ukrainian Orthodox Church</a>, the cathedral was dedicated in remembrance of the <a href="/facts/Transfiguration_of_Jesus/txyBrEha">Transfiguration of the Lord</a>. </p>
