<p>Helena Lekapene (c. 910 – 19 September 961) was the empress consort of <a href="/facts/Constantine_VII/AXlDmaVh">Constantine VII</a>, known to have acted as his political adviser and <i><a href="/facts/De_facto/3Du6WQKh">de facto</a></i> co-<a href="/facts/Regent/K0JDrJ6K">regent</a>. She was a daughter of <a href="/facts/Romanos_I_Lekapenos/93P9Hcc9">Romanos I Lekapenos</a> and <a href="/facts/Theodora_(wife_of_Romanos_I)/tTEx2Wrp">Theodora</a>. </p>
